Where is Rep. Luján? - Is this another April Fool’s joke?
Well, we find out after the fact that our Rep is hosting a round table on Health Care? Were we, his constituents, invited? How about some notice? I would ask the press to ask him for his schedule more than a day in advance so that the good people of the 3rd district may be able to attend his meetings.
He will be visiting with business leaders at the Santa Fe Small Business Incubator on April 1st (9am to 10am). I would barely have time to join him if I left now. Rep. Luján, I am a graduate of the San Juan County Business Incubator; I am a small businessman. You have demonstrated through your votes that you know little about supporting private businesses which fuel our private sector.
I just noticed he has posted 5 minute office hours in Santa Fe for one (1) hour on April 1st, which is a change from his e-mail notice from 4:30 pm, March 30th that said he was going to hold a town hall in Santa Fe. What is it going to be Rep. Lujan, 5 minute constituent meetings or really a town hall event? Are you afraid of the camera? You serve us, open the door Congressman, let the light of freedom shine upon you.
Can you tell us today at 9:30 pm on March 31st, where you will be on April 2nd? How about April 3rd, or April 4th? You are back in New Mexico to visit with the people who are your boss from April 1st through April 11th according to the congressional calendar. Where will you be so that the people can actually visit with you and respond to your monologue about how your continued votes for socialism are really not what they want? I would like for you to explain to me how costs are going to go down because of your Health Care vote in person?
Just to give you a heads up for when we get done with the primary. New Mexicans know you will be back in the Congressional district over the July 4th holiday and for the August recess. Would you care to schedule some time for debates in front of the people? I am available anytime and anywhere. Maybe you could even schedule some time to meet with the people and give them more than 24 hours notice. Is that too much to ask of our Representative?
Rep. Luján, I read your op-ed on Health Care in the Farmington Daily Times. I have asked for space to write a response….I am waiting to hear from the Daily Times. If they won’t give me the space or opportunity to directly respond by this weekend, I will have to post my response here.
I encourage everyone to ask not only Rep. Luján the hard questions, but ask all candidates the hard questions that you want answered.
