Wagon Mound New Mexico was political central today with both myself, my opponent, and other politicos attending the 100th year celebration parade and activities along main street today. A tremendous turnout and a very welcome response from many folks there. Former residents also traveled from around the country and many family reunions took place today as well.

Rep Lujan and I briefly spoke and I was pleased to hear him say that we will be debating in the near future. I have missed him at two (2) prior candidate forums. New Mexicans need to have a Congressman who will come out in public, not just at parades, but at public town forums and in front of the media. I look forward to these remaining days in the campaign discussing the issues and the solutions for our economic challenges. Rep. Lujan is in favor of more government and taxes. I believe in the power of each individual New Mexican and releasing the power of the private sector from the burdens imposed by oppressive regulation.

I enjoyed meeting more Sandoval County residents at the Bernalillo Wine Festival. What tremendous weather we have had this Labor Day Holiday weekend around our state. We are truly blessed. To the many volunteers who traveled today to help me. To those walking precincts around the district. Thank you for your help.

The Santo Domingo (Kewa) Arts and Craft fair on Sunday was very well attended. The weather was wonderful. New Mexicans remain committed to changing away from the entitled leadership of the past.

Happy Labor Day. Happy Bean Day! I am on my way to Wagon Mound.

I listened to the President’s speech this evening as I was driving back to Rio Rancho. I want to thank all of our military men and women, active duty and veterans. Thank you for your sacrifice such that I and my children can live in this wonderful country. We must discuss solutions to our situation in Afghanistan and the nuclear weapon ambitions of Iran.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you as your next Congressman. I continue to need your prayers and support.

I understand the Rep. Lujan is following me in my travels through Springer and into Colfax county today. I look forward to debating Rep. Lujan at any time in any location before any audience. Some have asked, will you have any “debates”. The short answer is yes. October the 9th and October 24th is what we have on my schedule.

Thank you again for your support and volunteers, please keep up the hard work, my name ID continues to improve across the district.

Well. Surprise. The ABQ Journal has polled the Governor, CD 1, CD 2, and the Attorney General’s race. This race for the 3rd Congressional district is considered a strong Democrat seat. So, I don’t know how I feel at this moment. Disappointed that since they polled state-wide, they did not report their results.

To cut to the chase. Our internal polling conducted August 19th, shows us “neck and neck” in this race with 15 percent undecided. We are redoubling our efforts on the campaign and with your help we will surprise the ruling class progressives in this district. We may release the top-line of this poll at a later date once more public polling becomes available.

To my supporters and to the voters. Keep the faith. No news is good news at the present time.

New Mexico is a gorgeous place to live. I enjoyed meeting many Rio Rancho residents at the St. Thomas Parish Picnic this afternoon. Our Lord has blessed us with life to enjoy ourselves and our families by sharing and caring for one another. As I listen to the many concerns of voters around the District in the days ahead, I ask that volunteers redouble their efforts to spead the message of Constiutionally Limited governance and methodically continue to engage voters. I will need every vote in this election, and your assistance will help me deliver responsible representation to Washington.

Our campaign continues to make progress. I enjoyed the ACI-WIPP Candidate forum on Thursday and was very disappointed in that Rep. Lujan did not show up to speak with this important group of business professionals in New Mexico. I was surprised to see Rep. Lujan at the grand opening of the Rio Rancho CNM educational facility building, since I thought he was out of town. The New Mexico Cattle Growers hosted a candidate forum Thursday evening, where I expected to see Rep. Lujan, but again he was unavailable.

The voters can clearly see the difference between our campaigns. I am open and will continue to engage the public. My opponent continues to hold back room private meetings and not answer the questions of the voters.

Saturday, I had the pleasure of canvassing Rio Rancho events where I continued to meet New Mexicans frustrated with the lack of representation and who believe our country needs to get on the right track. I attended the Grand Opening of the Sandoval County GOP Election Headquarters, 1207 Golf Course Rd. Thank you volunteers! The evening “Taking Back the House” event organized by Robert & Vicki Perea for Jon Barela, Steve Pearce, & myself was wonderful. Thank you and everyone who worked so hard putting this event together.

Unfortunately today’s edition of the ABQ Journal did not publish the poll results for our race. Susana Martinez was shown to hold a 6 percent lead. Our internal polling shows that I am in a dead even race with Lujan. Any way in which you analyze the 2010 election, the races are going to be close. I remain the underdog, up against a progressive ruling party politician. I will keep working toward victory for you every single day. God Bless You this Sunday
